God's Church vs. Man's Myths
This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.
he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ,
according to the purpose of his will,
1 Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great
mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1 John 3: 1-3
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children
of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.
Ephesians 2: 19-22
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the
saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.
And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his
body, and is himself its Savior.

but Christ is faithful over God's house as a son. And we are his house, if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.
