These are the Bible truths each child will be memorizing to earn patches on their sash!

Discoverers (Pre-K)

Question 1: What is the Bible? "The Bible is the only Book that is God's Word to us."

Question 2: How can we know that the Bible really is the true Word of God? "The Spirit of God helps us know that the Bible is God's Word.?

Question 3: How did God give us the Bible? "God gave holy men His words to write down."                            Memorize: 2 Peter 1:21b - Men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Question 4: Does the Bible teach any errors or lies? "No. God's Word is true because God tells only the truth."

Question 5: What does the Bible teach us? "The Bible teaches what God wants us to believe and how He wants us to behave."

Question 6: Can we be sure that God's Word is still good and true for us today? "Yes. God's Word is good and true forever."

Question 7: Why do we need the Bible? "We need the Bible to show us Who God is and how we can be right with Him."

Question 8: How can we truly get to know God? "We get to know God by faith comes from hearing His Word."

Question 9: What authority does the Bible have over us? "The Bible is our highest authority because it comes from God."                                     Memorize: 2 Timothy 3:16a - All Scripture is breathed out by God.

Question 10: How does God want us to feel about the Bible? "God wants us to love and believe the Bible."

 

Developers         (1st & 2nd)

Question 1: What is the Bible?  "The Bible is the only inspired Word of God."                                    Memorize: 1 Thessalonians 1:13b  You accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers. 

Question 2: How can we know that the Bible really is the true Word of God? "The Spirit of God helps us know that the Bible is true and that it is God's Word." Memorize: 1 Corinthians 2:12  - Now we have received...the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things...[of] God.

Question 3: How did God give us the Bible? "God gave holy men His words to write down."         Memorize: 2 Peter 1:21b - But men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Question 4: Does the Bible teach any errors or lies? "No. God's Word is true because God tells only the truth."                                          Memorize Psalm 19:160a - The sum of your word is truth.

Question 5: What does the Bible teach us?  "The Bible teaches what God wants us to believe and how He wants us to behave."           Memorize: Ecclesiastes 12:13b - Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.

Question 6: Can we be sure that God's Word is still good and true for us today? "Yes. God's Word is good and true forever."        Memorize: Matthew 5:18b - Not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law, until all is accomplished.

Question 7: Why do we need the Bible? "We need the Bible to show us Who God s and how we can be right with Him. "                     Memorize: 2 Timothy 3:15b - The sacred writings...are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

Question 9: What authority does the Bible have over us? "Because the Bible comes from God, it holds the highest and final authority for what we must believe and how we must live."                                    Memorize: 2 Timothy 3:16

Question 10: How does God want us to feel about the Bible?  "God wants us to love the Bible so much that we are eager to trust and obey it."                                                  Memorize: Psalm 119:97
