Week 51: (Day 351-357)
Day 351: 1 Timothy 6; 2 Timothy 1-4
Q1. What warning does Paul give in 1 Timothy 6:9, about desiring to be rich?
Note1: 2 Timothy 3:12; this verse is in direct opposition to those who teach that accepting Jesus will provide an easy life.
A1. This desire is a temptation that can lead to ruin and destruction.
Day 352: Titus 1-3; Philemon 1; Hebrews 1:1-2:10
Q1. Philemon 1:18; what does Paul ask Philemon to do with any debt or charge that Onesimus owes Philemon?
A1. Paul wants Onesimus’ debt charged to himself.
Day 353: Hebrews 2:11-6:20
Note1. How does Hebrews 4:12 compare to the thought that the Bible is just a dusty old book?
Note2. Hebrews 5:11-6:2; we should always be striving for more of God’s wisdom.
Q1. Hebrews 5:14; how do we sharpen our discernment (the ability to distinguish between good and evil or truth and lies)?
Day 354: Hebrews 7-10
Q1. Hebrews 10:25; what were some of the believer neglecting to do in the early church?
A1. They were neglecting fellowship.
Day 355: Hebrews 11-13
Q1. Hebrews 11:6; according to this passage, what is the key to pleasing God?
Day 356: James 1:1-4:10
Q1. What is the second part to asking God for wisdom in James 1:5-8?
Note1. James 2:14-26; this passage is not saying that forgiveness of sins comes from faith and works. These verses are telling us that if you have faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin, then works will naturally flow out from you.
A1. You must ask in faith, without doubting.
Day 357: James 4:11-5:20; 1 Peter 1:1-3:12
Note1. James 4:17; we all know doing wrong is sin, but this verse seems to add to that thought by saying “not doing right” is also sin. How does this affect your thoughts on passivity?
